Before I move forward with blog topics that might have broader appeal, I’d like to acknowledge three people who assisted me in establishing a presence on the Internet.
Frank Gullo: Frank built my first website last year and joined it with his own while I tried to figure out what I really wanted to accomplish with a website. When the site started turning up on page 1 of Google searches for “Shisendo,” I realized that I had better add more relevant content in a hurry or risk alienating people. Frank then provided me with useful technical feedback while I built my own site and offered a welcome critique of the beta version that helped me improve it. Frank’s site is devoted to a wide variety of media texts, created by himself and others. One of the site’s most popular features is the personality test disguised as a Superhero Survey. Frank also maintains a blog that always receives extra attention when he writes about the television show, Scrubs.
J.D.: Frank hosts the ravenweb site on the server of his longtime friend J.D. That means J.D. was also hosting the first iteration of my website gratis, which was much appreciated. He maintains a blog called Ranting Nerd. I find his rants on poorly implemented websites and software particularly funny.
2004carlt: I “met” Carl at the writer’s website authonomy. From the beginning, Carl freely gave his time to offer me advice about my book, publishing, promotion, and both versions of my website. With the most recent version of the site, it was sometimes just a question that sent me off on a spiral of research and brought me back to the site with improved skills. It made me feel like something more than a point and click visual web designer with no programming skills. If you live in the UK and are interested in natural foods, Carl has a website with a catchy name just for you: Nuts About Sprouts (Edit: Link removed since site no longer appears to be active).
While writing this I remembered that it was Frank and Carl who independently encouraged me to start a blog. If you don't like what you read here, blame them!

Lol, don't blame me. Thanks for the mention of my site Travis, I've tagged your blog so I'll get updates on by iGoogle. If you think of dabbling with Dreamweaver let me know as their 30 day trials can be extended and tailored to the individual needs of the consumer!!
