Since then, I have checked out their magazine a couple times, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they make a large volume of content available on-line as well. I particularly like reading the interviews with agents and commissioning editors. Even if the advice offered from one person to the next seems contradictory at times, overall the interviews provide an insight into the best ways to avoid annoying a decision maker with a flawed submission package.

Poets & Writers Magazine
It’s been a while since I’ve updated the Websites for Writers section of the blog, so I thought I’d share a link to Poets & Writers' website. I first encountered P & W while browsing in the bookstore when I happened upon a compilation of their columns in The Practical Writer (2004). It looked good, so I picked it up and read it in short order. It offers a nice collection of short essays on the craft of writing, the path to publication, and the necessity of promotion.

The link is great. I wished I had known earlier since it could have helped make my book better. Great link and I plan to be a regular visitor.
