I replaced my "basic black" blog template that is in widespread use on the Internet with one seldom seen, but which is compatible with the general content of the blog. There are a couple tweaks I'd still like to make, but I'm curious to hear your feedback before committing to this new look. I welcome your comments, positive or negative. Nice design refresh for your blog. In a word, yes. The new look definitely suits the subject matter of the blog better than the old design.

ReplyDeleteTornadoes, I downloaded the template from Deluxe Templates (link at bottom of page). Their templates are free so long as you leave the credits in the footer. They are so unobtrusive that it seems like a fair exchange.
ReplyDeleteAll told, it took me about an hour to make the transition because I wanted to preserve some widgets from the old layout. To do this I needed to copy and paste html code from the old layout. Thanks to DT's walkthroughs, it was a manageable exercise for someone with almost no html experience. As always, I highly recommend saving a copy of the old template before proceeding so that there is something to revert to in case of catastrophe.
